Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 16, 2026

Arha Law (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Who we are

Arha Law is a law firm practising criminal defence and residential real estate law in Ontario. If you have questions about this policy or about how we handle your personal information, contact us at info@arhalaw.com.

What we collect through this website

When you use the consultation request form on our Contact page, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you provide one
  • The general type of matter (criminal defence, real estate, or other)
  • Your preferred date and time for a call, if you provide one
  • Your preferred method of contact (phone or email)

We collect this information so we can get back to you, confirm a time to talk, and reach you the way you asked to be reached. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

What we don’t collect

The consultation request form does not ask for details about your legal matter, and we ask that you not include them. Please do not send us confidential or sensitive information about your situation through the website, by email, or by any other means until we have confirmed in writing that we act for you and a retainer is in place. Information sent before that point is not protected by solicitor-client privilege, and sending it could create a conflict of interest that prevents us from taking on your matter. If you need to discuss the specifics of your situation, please wait until we’ve spoken and confirmed we’re acting for you.

How your information is sent and stored

When you submit the form, it is sent by email directly to our office. We do not store form submissions in a separate database on the website; the record that exists is the email itself, kept in our normal email account along with any other correspondence with you.

How long we keep it

We keep consultation request emails, and any related correspondence, for as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, and then in line with the firm’s normal file and email retention practices.

Who we share it with

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing or business purposes. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us run this website and our email, such as our web hosting provider and email provider. They only handle this information to provide those services to us, not for their own use.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities, if we are required to disclose information by law, court order, or a valid request from a body such as the Law Society of Ontario.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the site: for example, which pages are viewed, how visitors arrived, roughly where they are (city or region), what kind of device and browser they use, and whether a consultation request was sent. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect this information. It does not receive your name, email address, phone number, or anything you type into the consultation request form.

We use this information only in aggregate, to improve the website. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we do not combine it with other information to identify you. Google processes this information on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of those countries. You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on. The website works the same way if you do.

The Contact page also includes a map that only loads when you click to view it. If you click to view the map, it loads directly from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies at that point under its own privacy policy. Simply visiting the Contact page does not load it.

Access and correction

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or update it, by emailing info@arhalaw.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may ask you to confirm your identity first.

You can also ask us to delete a consultation request you sent us if we have not already acted on it or are not required to keep it for legal or professional reasons.

Security of email

Email, web forms, and fax are not fully secure ways to communicate. Messages sent over the internet can potentially be intercepted, delayed, or misdirected. We take reasonable steps to protect information sent to us, but we cannot guarantee the security of any information transmitted online, and this website should not be used to send information you consider highly sensitive.

Links to other websites

This website may contain links to third-party websites, including government resources or Google Maps. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any website we do not operate. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit through a link on this website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change how the website works or if privacy laws change. The effective date at the top of this page will tell you when it was last updated. We encourage you to check back periodically.
