Chetanaya Gupta is a results-driven criminal defence lawyer known for rigorous trial preparation, strategic advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to protecting his clients' rights. Practising since 2021, he represents clients before both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.
A graduate of the University of Exeter, Chetanaya has continued to sharpen his advocacy since his call to the bar, notably competing in the 2025 Rosenberg Moot, which honed his appellate strategy, constitutional analysis, and courtroom persuasion. He serves on the Indigenous and Diversity Committee of the Criminal Lawyers' Association and was a featured speaker at its 2024 Spring Conference. For the past two years, he has also volunteered as a mock-trial coach for high-school students in the Niagara region.
Arha Law also acts for buyers and sellers in residential real estate, from the agreement of purchase and sale through closing, and Chetanaya handles those files himself.
Outside his legal practice, Chetanaya has volunteered with Shelter Movers, Pro Bono Ontario, and annually with the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.
Focus, not spread.
Our Approach
-
Focused representation
Arha Law takes on two areas of law, not twelve: criminal defence and residential real estate, so every matter gets real attention.
-
Direct communication
You work directly with the lawyer handling your matter. No hand-offs, no go-betweens.
-
Prepared, honest guidance
Every matter starts with understanding what's actually at stake, followed by straightforward explanations of the options available to you, without unnecessary jargon.
